You simply connect the Axis PoE midspan to the network, and the network video product is supplied with power.
The PoE midspan provides power (maximum 15.4 W) over an Ethernet cable to a network video product with built-in PoE support. It enables network cameras and video encoders to be installed in areas where traditional power cabling and outlets are unavailable or difficult to install.
The PoE midspan is IEEE 802.3af compliant, which ensures compatibility with most Axis products that have built-in support for PoE.
